Where the data comes from
Sessions, holidays, early closes and lunch breaks come from the open-source library pandas_market_calendars (v5.5.0), which includes exchange_calendars. Missing holiday names come from the holidays package (v0.107).
Markets are covered from 1995 to 2051. Some end sooner where the libraries have not published holidays further ahead. The coverage page lists every market and its dates. Last updated Sunday 25 October 2026.
Limitations
- Future holidays follow published rules. Holidays announced each year, such as lunar calendar dates, elections or days of mourning, can appear late. Where a source has not published a year, we show no data.
- Pre-market and after-hours sessions appear only where the source library defines them.
- The data is for planning. Check critical dates with the exchange before trading.
For developers
The same data is available through the JSON API. A summary for AI assistants is at /llms.txt and a full plain-text reference at /llms-full.txt.
