These terms add to the terms of use and apply when you use the MarketCalendars.com API or embed our widgets. The current free JSON API (version 1) needs no key; the key and quota sections apply once keyed access launches.
Keys
- API keys are personal to your account. Do not share them or put them in public code.
- You are responsible for requests made with your keys. Revoke a key straight away if it leaks.
Quotas and limits
- Each plan has a request quota and a burst limit, shown on the pricing page and in your account.
- Requests over the quota are refused until the next period; there is no overage billing.
- Keep keyless requests to a reasonable rate; responses are cached for 30 seconds and we may limit heavy use.
Using the data
- You may use API responses inside your own products and services.
- You may not resell or redistribute the raw data as a standalone dataset or competing API.
- Attribution is not required for API use, though a link to MarketCalendars.com is appreciated.
- The accuracy terms in the terms of use apply: confirm critical dates with the exchange.
Service levels and support
There is no service level agreement below Enterprise. We aim for high availability and announce planned changes, but the API can change or be unavailable at times.
Changes
We give notice by email and on the API page before breaking changes or quota reductions on paid plans, except where we must act quickly for security or abuse.
Suspension
We may suspend keys or block access that is abusive, harms the service or breaks these terms.
Widgets
- Widgets are free to use on the domains you register for them under a widget key in your account.
- The "Data by MarketCalendars.com" attribution link in the widget footer may not be modified. Do not remove, hide or alter it, or other branding inside the widget, unless we have agreed white-label use in writing.
- Each widget key has a fair-use quota of 100,000 views a month. Contact us if you need more.
- Do not scrape widgets or use them as a data feed; use the API instead.
- If the attribution is removed or altered and not restored after a reminder, we may suspend the widget key.
