Trading Data Services, LLC runs MarketCalendars.com and is the controller of the personal data described here. We collect as little as we can and never sell it.
What we collect and why
- Browsing the site: no account needed. Your settings (market or local time, time zone, clock format, theme) stay in your browser; see the cookie policy. If you accept analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits and page speed without cookies or cross-site tracking.
- Accounts: your email address, sign-in sessions and the settings you save, to let you sign in and keep your preferences. Legal basis: providing the service you asked for.
- Security and abuse prevention: IP addresses are stored only as salted hashes, for rate limits and abuse detection. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe.
- API and widgets: request counts per key or widget, and for API keys per day and endpoint, to enforce quotas and show you your usage. For widget keys we count views per day, widget type and the domain of the page showing the widget.
- Visitors to sites with our widgets: the widget sets no cookies and stores nothing in the browser. We record only that a view happened on that site's domain; no IP address or page address is kept.
- Free API trial: a one-way hash of your email address (lower-cased, without
+tags), kept after you delete your account so each person gets one free trial. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in preventing free-tier abuse. - Messages you send us: your name, email and message, to reply.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We keep your plan and a Stripe customer reference, never your card details.
Who processes it
- Cloudflare: hosting, database, email sending, bot protection and analytics.
- Stripe: payments, invoices and billing details.
These providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
Staff access
A small number of staff can view account details to provide support. Any access to an account on your behalf is logged.
How long we keep it
- Account data: while your account exists; deleted within 30 days of closing it.
- Sign-in codes and links: minutes; expired sessions are removed daily.
- Usage counts and hashed IPs: up to 13 months. API usage and widget views for an account are deleted with the account.
- Free trial email hashes: kept indefinitely, as they only record that a trial was used.
- Messages: up to 2 years, unless we need them longer to resolve an issue.
- Billing records: as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and object to or restrict how we use it. Account holders can delete their account themselves. Write to us at the address below; we reply within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
